Well, another fabulous book-themed cake was prepared this year – Elmer the elephant!

I absolutely LOVE this cake! I can’t believe it. And I just love Elmer himself. I’ve made themed cakes for my son’s birthdays, but I’m not the greatest cake decorator. I wonder if I could attempt this one…
Your v. hungry caterpillar cake was adorable too. I saw on a blog somewhere an idea to arrange cupcakes into a long caterpillar shape, ice them all green and then add embellishments to turn them into the caterpillar. That seems doable, so that’s been in the back of my mind for this year’s 3rd birthday.
