Entries close Thursday 1 October.

I Like Chocolate … I mean, I like the book “I Like Chocolate”
Having visited Kampungs in Malaysia (and eating weird lunch there with the locals – LOL) it has to be Kampung Boy for me!
Hi!
I love your site… and when I saw your giveaway, I couldnt help but hope to win.
You were right, all the books over at Wilkins Farago look gorgeous, but the one that really tugged at my heartstrings was Waiting for Mummy by Tae-Jun Lee & Dong-Sung Kim
The artwork looked great and it reminded me of the crazy insecurities that not just children but we adults also have.
Cheers!
I really like the look of “in just one second” and the idea of all those everyday things in a book
) Oh, and the pictures look like the would be lovely!
I think waiting for mummy looks very cute!
In Just One Second. Because I think it sounds like an amazing premise for a story, the illustrations look lovely and because:
the fairytales & picture books we read form the basis for how we understand story structure
and sophisticated story structures for children (particularly ones that are inventive with time or space) form an excellent basis for being able to engage with sophisticated adult texts.
I like ‘I Love Kissing You’ – a picture book for the hubby…
They do look like beautiful books! Can you beat I Like Chocolate? What a great gift book.
I’m intrigued by Waiting for Mummy. It reminded me of when I was a child looking out the window watching every car that drove down the street, hoping it would be hers… now I have to worry about a little boy who is waiting for Mummy to come home, it breaks your heart doesn’t it!
i would say the janet frame poetry collection… i love to read poetry to my children
I loved the concept behind The Dad Who Measures Up. Its not often enough we write about dads in books and this is so important for single parent families or families where the father is absent alot due to other intervening circumstances.
I LOVE CHOCOLATE! Come on , that book looks awesome and I do love chocolate! thanks!
We are Barroux fans. Visiting the WF site was not an easy thing to do…I almost didn’t make it back to comment after getting caught up in those lovely books.
Since I must name one, another beautiful looking book is
“The Goose Bath: Poems”
by Janet Frame
I absolutely love the title.
we would love the “i love chocolate” book to read– but am extremely excited about the prospect of winning the red piano; my 4 year old DEVOURS about 3 or so books a night, and i’d LOVE to throw a little variety into her bookshelf
thanks for the opportunity to win!
Hah, I thought this would be an easy question to answer…Boy was I wrong!
We already have ‘Waiting For Mummy’ – it’s so beautiful. So simple and sweet but absolutely captures that almost indescribable feeling of yearning for your Mummy to come home to you. The illustrations are so perfect.
But I think the other book that caught my attention (apart from ‘The Red Piano’) was ‘In Just One Second’. I absolutely LOVE the illustrations and the concept that the world is bigger than your bedroom and your house and that millions of things are happening all at the same time, all over the world and even in your own street – all of them different and interesting and real.
I can tell I’ll be doing quite a bit of shopping here at Wilkins Farago!
Michelle.
Well you are right – there are lots of gorgeous books tere. For me though it would ahve to be ‘why’ – as that is the questions I am asked most each day by my two oldest girls!
‘Waiting for mummy’ also looks beautiful though.
Thanks for the chance to win.
Hi,
The book “Piano, piano” looks cute! It brings back memories of my own long hours of piano practice, pushed on by my parents, and I’m so thankful now I did!
‘Wating for Mummy’ looks very sweet however for this family it would have to be ‘I Like Chocolate’!
Thanks for the opportunity to win ‘The Red Piano’ – it looks like a gorgeous book.
There were several beautiful books at the Wilkins Farago site but if I have to pick one – it would be ‘Kampung Boy’.
In the first instance I was thinking “Kampung Boy” looked interesting and beautiful – I alway love stories from other lands, cultures and times… but then I kept scrolling down and saw the book titled “Why?”. As the mother of a two and a half year old I initially cringed – its the end of a long day filled with that question – but then I was filled with that beautiful ‘o my darling boy’ feeling as I recalled my son (now quietly tucked in bed) through the day.
I like Chocolate!
Thanks for the giveaway. Please enter me. I Like Chocolate look adorable.
All of the books look fantastic.. I am sure that Santa Suit and Waiting for Mummy would definitely be great hits with the daycare kiddos.
Thanks for the chance

“Waiting For Mummy” looks darling…
So many good books!
“I like chocolate” looks like a good read!
In Just One Second by Silvio Freytes and Flavio Morais also looks like a wonderful book – thanks!
Kampung Boy looks adorable.

You’re right, there are quiet a few beautiful books on the site. I think Piano Piano looks fun and playful judging by the cover.
Cheers
It has to be In Just One Second by Silvio Freytes and Flavio Morais! It reminds me of when I have caught myself thinking of what other people might be doing at an exact moment in time! The brief peek at the book’s pages, and its interesting illustrations and story, started my mind racing on all the street’s adventures plus the ones that my daughter and I would create while reading it!
Probably because I am on the look out for Christmas books – Santa’s Suit.
Santa’s Suit looks like a book my grandson would love!

ooh i like “waiting for mummy”
It would have to be I Like Chocolate! I’m afraid my bar a day habit during pregnancy definitely created a new chocoholic!
Oooh, lots of lovelies! I like “Piano Piano”, especially since my 2 yo is really into musical instruments and singing right now. The book “Why?” also looks very pretty and also clever and fun.
What?? You want us to choose just ONE?!?!
“Kampung Boy” reminds me of the gorgeous Malay kids on Christmas Island in their kampung (but we said kampong). The beach right outside their front doors, and freedom beyond words. This book has similar story… the idea of preserving a way of life.
I have to say Kampung Boy is the title I would whip off the shelves and snap up if I was browsing in a real-world store. Living here in Bali we see the erosion of the traditional world daily — some for the better, some for the worse — and this book would be a great conversation starter with my kids.
The Goose Bath: Poems!! A good book of NZ poetry is hard to go past – I have to vote for it. Then again, Kampung Book looks good, and who can go past a book called I Like Chocolate!!!!
Goodness – too hard. Okay, one – The Goose Bath!
Waiting for Mummy looks breathtakingly beautiful. I love the softness of the images and the precious little red nose. He even has a little tummy that seems to stick out. Beautiful!
I like chocolate and I like ‘I Like Chocolate’
